The City
of Glasgow is undertaking a major project to create a new home for
Glasgow Museums’ world-class collections. The purpose-built Riverside
Museum, opening in spring 2011, is a much more accessible venue, and
will provide a much more stable environment for our objects, so they
will stay in the best condition they can.
Our dedicated team is currently in the process of preparing and moving
objects to their new home, which is why the Museum of Transport at
Kelvin Hall is now closed to the public.
