Ultramarathon Blog by Stuart Macfarlane

This is my race report / blog / review / whatsitcalled for the marathons and ultramarathons I completed during 2013:

Ultramarathons:

D33
G2E
Highland Fling
Cateran Trail
West Highland Way
Clyde Stride
Devil o the Highlands
Speyside Way
Glenmore - 12
River Ayr Way

Jedburgh Three Peaks
Glen Ogle

Marathons:
Edinburgh Meadow's
Strathearn Marathon
Loch Ness

Report:

I turned up.

I ran.

I finished.

I went home.

It was: way too hot // bloody freezing // torrential rain // two foot of snow (delete as appropriate)

I had an amazing race // I ran like a bag of Siamese cats // I had to be dragged screaming over the finish-line (delete as appropriate)

The scenery was stunning // the scenery was total crap // I ran with my eyes closed (delete as appropriate)

I would like to thank the following: my tremendous support team // the organisers // the marshals // nobody //  that random guy with the defibrillator who saved my life // the general public // the Chinese Government // everyone slower than me // Mountain Rescue // Socrates // myself (delete as appropriate)
